The Centro Congressi Lingotto was built between 1917 and 1922. Lingotto was designed by architect Giacomo Mattè Trucco in a rationalist, innovative style. The building symbolised a turning point in the development of Italian industry, marking the end of one era and the start of another.
Many generations of workers have been employed in the workshops of this great industrial complex, manufacturing not only cars but also aero engines, commercial vehicles and household appliances.
Having already undergone many renovations over the years in response to changing industrial needs, in 1985 the factory ceased production.
In 1989 an international competition was launched to transform the Lingotto industrial area into a modern multifunctional centre.
These were years of frenetic activity, as the winning project by Genoese architect Renzo Piano– designer of the Beaubourg in Paris in the 1970s – was turned into reality, earning acclaim from architects and engineers around the world.
The Lingotto Congress Centre is 10 minutes from the centre of Turin and the Porta Nuova train station.
Connections can be made by underground bus and tram. The Lingotto train station can be reached via the Olympic footbridge.
Visitors arriving from motorways or from city by-pass will be guided directly to the Lingotto’s underground car parks by road signs.
Turin’s Sandro Pertini airport is 16 km from the city centre and can be reached in 80 minutes by taxi, at a fixed rate.
The conference Biogas Science 2018 provides appropriate surroundings to introduce your company, your services and products among experts and potential customers. Advertisement and attendance at the conference will provide added value for the prominence of your company.
You can choose a sponsoring or advertising activity that is suitable for you and your company. The local organising committee is on hand for answering your questions and for the professional realisation of the advertising of your company. Detailed information on different advertising and sponsoring possibilities can be downloaded.

The Social Dinner will take place in the Borgo Medievale (Sala San Giorgio) at 08:00 pm.
The Medieval Castle at the Valentino was built to host the Ancient Art section of the 1884 Turin Expo: along the Po river and surrounded by walls, the richly furnished castle rises above a small cluster of houses and workshops. The idea was to offer an artistic and evocative example of the gothic style which characterized 15th century in Piedmont: a century of cultural and economic growth that blossomed under the duchy of Amedeo VIII, leaving many important monuments throughout the region that needed to be preserved and enhanced.

Registration and attendance fee compulsory.
